X-DRL Heads South For Bash On The Bayou At No Problem Raceway

The new X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) takes its inaugural season South for its third event as the X-DRL prepares for its first appearance at No Problem Raceway for the Bash On The Bayou on May 17-18 in Belle Rose, La.

This highly-anticipated event will give fans the first look at the action-packed X-DRL, which features many of the top professional doorslammer and Pro Modified drivers in the world as well as nine exciting professional classes (Pro Junior Dragster, Supercar Showdown, Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, X-treme Pro Mod, Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Turbo, X-treme Pro Stock, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and Pro X-treme, the world’s quickest and fastest doorslammer class).

These classes will provide non-stop action over the two days, with cars going as quick as 3.60 seconds in the 1/8-mile at more than 210 mph.

General admission tickets can be purchased for $25 per day. A special two-day, full event can also be purchased for just $45, enabling fans to enjoy the full Friday and Saturday X-DRL experience. All tickets purchased by April 25 will also receive a $10 discount.

Parking outside the gate is free for race fans. All children 12-under are admitted free as well.

The X-DRL is an 1/8-mile sanctioning body that has already made a favorable impression in its first season. All of its races are broadcast for free online at X-DRL.com with a high-quality free broadcast, and the X-DRL has also signed a television contract with Velocity.

The X-DRL is also thrilled to race at No Problem Raceway for the first time.

“We are tremendously excited to be having our third event at No Problem Raceway. This track was one of the first to jump on board with the X-DRL and we can’t wait to put on a great show for these fans,” X-DRL Co-Owner Jeff Mitchell said.

“We’ve got a lot of exciting items planned for this race and there’s no doubt that it’s going to be a memorable weekend for everyone involved.”

In addition to experiencing premier eighth-mile drag racing from many of the top professional drivers, all tickets include special VIP pit access, giving fans the opportunity to meet their favorite drivers and race teams. With an exciting manufacturer midway, special exhibition runs and pit access in one of the most incredible atmospheres in drag racing, fans can expect maximum value from their X-DRL ticket purchase.

Racing begins at 10 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday, with eliminations set to begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

“The main idea behind the X-DRL was to create a high-quality association that will bring plenty of excitement and we’re thrilled with what we’ve been able to accomplish in a short time,” said X-DRL co-owner Jeff Mitchell.
