Steady rain showers on Sunday at Bristol Dragway forced the X-Treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) to cancel the rest of eliminations for the weekend’s X-DRL Thunder Valley Madness.
Action at Bristol was rained out during eliminations on Saturday, and X-DRL officials had hoped to finish the race on Sunday, but persistent showers washed out that possibility.
The race is considered complete and points will be awarded for each X-DRL class based on what was finished during the weekend.

The next race during the 2013 X-DRL season is the Bash On The Bayou, which takes place May 17-18 at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La.
The top eight finishers in Pro X-treme, Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and X-treme Pro Stock at that race will be entered in the X-Treme Shootout, an 8-car shootout to be run at X-DRL’s Thunder In The Heartland on Sept. 20-21 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis. Each class will be awarded $25,000 at the shootout.
An official announcement regarding the X-Treme Shootout will be released Monday.

Pro X-treme, X-treme Pro Modified, Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman and Top Dragster did not complete an elimination round. Frankie Taylor was the top qualifier in Pro X-treme, running a 3.646 at 209 mph.

Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous and X-treme Pro Stock both had advanced to semifinals. In Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous, Jim Laurita, Pat Stoken, Bob Rahaim and Billy Glidden all advanced to the semifinals. Laurita finished as the No. 1 qualifier with a 3.785 at 197 mph.

Cary Goforth, John DeFlorian, Kevin Bealko and Elijah Morton were semifinalists in X-treme Pro Stock. Goforth was the No. 1 qualifier with a 4.08.

Todd Moyer ran a career-best 3.89 at 201 mph to finish as the top qualifier in Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Turbo. Moyer and Gonzalez, who ran as quick as a 3.90, advanced to the finals in the class.

Dan Stevenson finished as the No. 1 qualifier in X-treme Pro Mod, running a 3.923. Ronnie Davis (4.112) and Kevin Fisher (4.251) finished as the No. 1 qualifiers in Mickey Thompson Top Sportsman and Top Dragster, respectively.

Ryan Tolley finished as the top qualifier in Pro Junior Dragster with a 7.900.
