X-Citement Continues to Build for Spring Nationals

Entries are now open for the X-treme Drag Racing League’s inaugural event, Spring Nationals on April 6-7 at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park.

“We really expect to see the best of the best doorslammers for this event,” said Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park co-owner and racer Keith Haney. “It’s the first event of its kind for this new league and we’re excited and honored they picked us for their first event.”

The X-DRL is a new 1/8-mile sanctioning body featuring racing in Pro X-treme, Pro Nitrous, X-treme Pro Stock, Pro Turbo, X-treme Pro Mod, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Pro Junior Dragster and Supercar Showdown.

“This is going to be a huge event for the track,” Haney said. “We just started promoting the event and there’s already been a great response. We’re going to pack the house for what we expect to be a great show for the fans.”
Entry fee for the pro classes is $350 and $250 for the Sportsman cars. Each entry includes a tech card, pit parking decal and restricted area armband. Additional crew armbands are $40.

“My partners and I have worked very hard to take this track from the brink of closure a couple years ago to the top-notch facility it is today,” Haney said. “Big events like this show how far we’ve come and the respect Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park has earned from the drag racing word.”

Tickets are also on sale for $25 for a single-day pass or $40 for a two day pass. Kids under 12 are free with a paid adult and there will be free parking at the north gate.
