The X-Treme Drag Racing League already has a television contract with Velocity and has partnered with MotormaniaTV to present spectacular live broadcasts of each race online. Now, the X-DRL has its own official radio show.

The X-DRL announced on Saturday that it has teamed with the popular SHRA Radio Show to provide an official X-DRL radio show before and after each race during the 2013 season. The show can be found at http://www.shraonline.com/Radio.html. The X-DRL-centered shows will air at 7 p.m. EST on the Tuesdays before each event, including this Tuesday in preparation for X-DRL Thunder Valley Madness on April 26-27 at Bristol Dragway, as well as the Tuesday following each event.

The first show took place before the X-DRL Spring Nationals in Tulsa, where hosts Steve Coccaro and Carl Robinson talked to Jeff Mitchell, Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park co-wner Keith Haney and a number of other X-DRL personalities. Based on the popularity of the broadcast, winners were invited to be on the show following the Spring Nationals.

“This is very exciting to be working with the X-DRL and we hope to give the X-DRL a tremendous platform that will reach a number of fans and potential sponsors,” SHRA Radio’s Mike Fabian said.

“I’ve talked to a number of people who are impressed with what the X-DRL is all about, and we want to see them continue to grow and prosper in their first season.”
Fabian and Coccaro started the SHRA Radio Show in 2010, giving fans and sponsors a weekly destination for race recaps, interviews with top drivers and more.

Since then, the SHRA Radio Show has become a staple in the racing community, drawing tens of thousands of listeners to each episode. With the new partnership and promotion as the “Official Radio Show of the X-DRL,” the SHRA Radio Show will feature all of the top X-DRL competitors and personalities leading up to and following the remaining eight races during the debut 2013 season.

The entertaining two-hour show will feature several X-DRL competitors this week, including Quain Stott, Lizzy & Pat Musi and many more. Additionally, Kathy Fisher, commentator for the X-DRL Velocity Show, will be on the show to talk about the filming in Bristol.

“We feel we can bring the SHRA Radio Show and the X-DRL right into peoples’ homes and businesses with some great pre-shows and recap shows,” Fabian said. “This is really a great thing and we’re excited to help bring even more attention to these terrific competitors in the X-DRL.”
