X-DRL Drivers To Make Appearance At Cancer Treatment Center Of America In Tulsa

A number of X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) drivers and standouts will visit the Cancer Treatment Center of America at Southwestern Regional Medical Center in Tulsa on Thursday.

Several top names in the X-DRL, including Keith Haney, Todd Martin, Dean Goforth, legendary chassis builder Jerry Haas and more will appear from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday at the Tulsa facility, which is located at 10109 E. 79th Street South (81st Street and Highway 169).

The X-DRL stars will be on hand for pictures and autographs, and the event is the first of many activities and fundraisers that will be announced in the coming days.
The appearance is being done in conjunction with Cancer Sucks!, Inc, which was previously announced as the designated charity for the 2013 X-DRL season, which begins with the X-DRL Spring Nationals on April 6-7 at Osage Casino Tulsa Raceway Park. Cancer Sucks!, Inc is also based in the Tulsa area.

“We are excited to be a part of event like this and hopefully we are able bring a smile and some joy to people during this time,” X-DRL Co-Owner Jeff Mitchell said.

“We are glad to be working with a company like Cancer Sucks!, which has a vocal and unique voice when it comes to cancer research. This is the first of many exciting fundraising events with the X-DRL in 2013.”

Cancer Sucks! mission is to “Provide a forum for those who have lost loved ones to cancer while aggressively raising money to find a cure. No one should have to go through what millions of cancer victims, survivors and those left behind have endured.”

Cancer Sucks! will have a noticeable presence at the Spring Nationals in Tulsa, and the X-DRL will offer special X-DRL/Cancer Sucks! merchandise and apparel to help raise additional money for cancer research.

The Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center (Southwestern) houses some of the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources in cancer treatment, which are now available to patients seven days a week.
