Dallas Raceway in Crandall, Texas announced last week that it will close the track and thereby cease operations on Tuesday, May 7.

The track was scheduled to serve as the host of the X-DRL’s Hot Texas Nights on Aug. 16-17, which would have been the sixth of nine races during the X-DRL’s inaugural 2013 season.

While the X-DRL is saddened to learn of Dallas Raceway’s unfortunate closing, X-DRL executives are working hard to secure a new venue for the sixth race of the season. Hot Texas Nights was scheduled to follow Mayhem At The Creek on July 26-27 at Maryland International Raceway, and it preceded Thunder In The Heartland on Sept. 20-21 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

As soon as a new venue is confirmed, the X-DRL will issue an official announcement regarding its sixth race. Be sure to check back at X-DRL.com for further details and updates regarding the rescheduling of this race.
